Shesa's Investment profile - A quick glance
November 11, 2013
Dear friends,
I am Shesa Nayak. I will be posting some
blogs going forward on Investment. Before I do that, I would like to introduce
myself. I have been a software professional for last 25 years. However, I do have
a strong background in Finance. I did my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and also did my Masters degree in
commerce (M.Com). In addition to the finance background, I have a lot of
personal interest on finance particularly on Stock, Bond, Mutual Fund, ETF,
Real Estate. I have a long experience on the stock market starting way back in
1991 in India when there was a stock market boom followed by Harshad Mehta security
scam and collapse of Indian capital market in 1992. Subsequently, I came over
to USA and started my own investment. It is my intrinsic interest to study the
market, stocks, bonds, ETF etc. I do not do any business or professionally
advise my friends or colleagues or others. Rather I have a passion towards
investing and helping friends and others. There were many downturns those
passed by particularly 1999 Internet bubble and 2008-09 Real Estate bubble.
Both of them were a different and difficult experience and saw portfolio value
declining significantly by all and sundry. It was a painful experience but
learned some lessons on how to deal with the market. These were the lessons
learned. Meanwhile, many of my friends, colleagues and others seek my advice on
which stock to buy? Which mutual fund to put money? Should I buy a real estate?
Is it good to buy Gold fund? Should we put moony in Bond? How and when do I
refinance my property and so on... As a matter of cat, I thought of making a
googlegroups and yahoogroups to share my investment experience. However, I
realized that rather than sending it on the email why don’t I write it on the
blog!! So I am writing my 1st BLOG today. I hope you folks like it.
If don’t like it that’s OK but forgive me for any mistake.
I do write articles on Stock, Bond,
Mutual Fund, Retirement planning, Real Estate etc.. I also used to give talk on
finance every month at International Gurukul, a non-profit organization at
Santa Clara, California.
In the past I did recommend some great
stocks with humongous return. Some of those are outlines below:

I still
study a lot on many of the stocks and do a solid fundamental analysis before I
put my hard earned money or recommend it to my friends and colleagues. When you
invest money, the first principle is to remember Warren Buffet’s principle of “Not to lose money”. Even if you cannot
make much gain but you should not lose your hard earned money!! I will be
publishing my November investment newsletter in 1-2 days.
Thanks
for your patience in reading my blog. Appreciate it!
