I am adding  iQIYI Inc. ( IQ ) to my Blog Portfolio. IQ is also known as Netflix of China. I do feel that the company has significant future potential. At current price of $26.13,  it looks like a compelling addition to my blog portfolio.  I will be providing extensive analysis during my September Blog which I plan to publish on Sunday, September 23. Q2FY2018 Earnings - My View APPLE (AAPL) => Apple declared Q3 results My View EPS:  $2.34 vs. $2.18 consensus estimates I think Apple can still grow. The good news is that it's service revenues are increasing. New iPhone expecteed to be released this month. It's still a good  long term BUY. Revenue:  $53.3 billion vs. $52.34 billion consensus estimates. iPhone sales:  41.3 million vs. 41.79 million => Missed the iPhone number     Facebook (FB) The matter of concern is daily users decreased. Also, it's projecting that its profit and sales could be down for next couple of quarters. I will add on dip for long term. Short term: HOLD,  Log Term: BUY. Update on GERN: Geron Corporation (GERN) which I wrote in my this month's Blog is up 30% as I write this and trading at $5.23 in anticipation of JNJ deal, which I wrote in details in my BLOG. If you have not read yet, I strongly suggest that you do. Today, I took a very small profit today but will keep accumulating, if it comes down. I feel GERN has a great potential.

AUGUST 2018 - INVESTMENT BLOG By Shesa Nayak U.S. Stock Market Update : Q2 earnings season will be concluded in next couple of weeks. Corporate earnings have been nothing less than spectacular. Thus far, 91% of the S&P 500 companies have reported their earnings. Out of which, 79% companies reported positive earnings surprise and 72% companies have reported positive sales surprises. The U.S. Economy remains strong. Second quarter U.S GDP grew 4.1%, a fastest pace in four years. A few weeks ago, president Trump said, “ We are on track to hit the highest annual growth rate in over 13 years”. Time will tell whether we are on tack or not! But Trade war continues and will continue for a foreseeable future. President Trump has recently threatened to impose a new round of tariff on $200 billions of Chinese products unless China changes its intellectual property practices.
