U.S. Stock Market Commentary After several months of doom and gloom in the stock market, finally we saw some relief rallies before the Memorial Day, a sigh of relief for the investors. All three major indexes had big gains in the past week, each rising higher than 6%. Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite broke a seven-week losing streak, while it had been eight weeks of losses for the DOW. Nasdaq had come down as low as -32% and S&P 500 went to bear market territory (-20%) for a brief period. But again, the stock market started moving south last week.
